Nick, you are making me fascinated with Independence, KS. I did a little checking, and find it has the same population (about 10K) as the ‘small rural New England town’ I live in. But while Woodbury covers 36 square miles, Independence is packed into just five. We have no downtown, no multi-story commercial buildings. Independence looks more like some of the larger Connecticut towns (populations between 30K and 40K) where I make a lot of the pictures that wind up on my blogs. I’ve never set foot in Kansas, but you’re making me want to get there with a camera.
The atmosphere in your evening afterglow shot is lovely.

I believe that probably rates as the highest compliment that anyone has ever given my work. Thank you.
